Terms of Service

These terms govern your access to and use of PageApprove. They are written for a practical SaaS workflow, but they are not a substitute for advice from your own lawyer.

Effective date: June 25, 2026

1. Acceptance

By creating an account, purchasing access, opening a review link, or using PageApprove, you agree to these Terms of Service. PageApprove is operated from South Africa. If you use PageApprove on behalf of a company, agency, client, or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not use PageApprove.

2. What PageApprove Provides

PageApprove is a lightweight website feedback and sign-off tool. It helps project teams share review links, collect visual feedback on staging websites, capture device and browser context, track comments, and record client approvals.

PageApprove is not a legal, compliance, contract management, payment collection, project management, or professional advisory service. Approval records can support your project workflow, but they do not replace your own contracts, statements of work, acceptance criteria, or legal advice.

3. Accounts and Access

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate account and billing information and keep it up to date.

Client reviewers may access review links without creating a PageApprove account. You are responsible for sharing review links only with people who are authorized to review the relevant project.

4. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for your projects, client relationships, staging URLs, review links, comments, approval workflows, and any personal information you submit to PageApprove. You must have the rights and permissions needed to upload, connect, or process that information through PageApprove.

Where privacy laws apply, you are responsible for giving your clients and reviewers appropriate notices, obtaining any required consents or other lawful basis, and responding to requests that relate to personal information you control. PageApprove is designed to support GDPR, UK GDPR, POPIA, and similar privacy-law workflows, but your use of the service must also comply with laws that apply to your business and clients.

5. Acceptable Use

You may not use PageApprove to upload, link to, distribute, or process unlawful, harmful, abusive, infringing, deceptive, or malicious content. You may not attempt to bypass security controls, interfere with the service, scrape the service, reverse engineer non-public parts of the service, or use PageApprove to attack another website or system.

You are responsible for the staging sites, project content, client data, comments, approvals, and other material you submit to or connect with PageApprove.

6. Device Verification and Review Data

PageApprove captures technical review data such as device category, browser, operating system, viewport size, screen size, user agent, timestamps, review page URLs, comments, reviewer identity details, and approval actions. This information is used to support feedback context, device verification, audit trails, and troubleshooting.

You are responsible for informing your clients and reviewers that this technical information is collected when they use review links.

7. Beta and Lifetime Access

PageApprove may offer beta access, early-adopter pricing, lifetime access, or one-time purchase plans. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, lifetime access means access to the PageApprove product for the lifetime of the product, subject to reasonable usage limits, these terms, and continued operation of the service.

Lifetime access does not include custom development, enterprise services, separate paid add-ons, third-party usage costs, or features that are clearly sold as separate products in the future.

8. Payments and Refunds

Paid access must be purchased through the checkout flow or another approved payment method. Prices, features, and availability may change over time, but changes will not remove paid access you have already purchased unless required by law, abuse prevention, or these terms.

Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. To request a refund, email help@pageapprove.com with the email address used for purchase, the purchase date, and a short explanation of the issue. We may approve or decline refund requests at our discretion, except where applicable law gives you a mandatory refund or cancellation right.

Payment processors may collect and process payment information under their own terms and privacy policies. PageApprove does not store full payment card details.

9. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep PageApprove reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or that every staging site can be embedded or reviewed. Some websites may block iframe embedding, scripts, or third-party overlays.

We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of PageApprove as the product evolves, especially during beta.

10. Intellectual Property

PageApprove, including its software, branding, interface, and documentation, is owned by PageApprove or its licensors. These terms do not transfer ownership of PageApprove to you.

You retain ownership of your project content, comments, client data, and connected website material. You grant PageApprove the limited rights needed to host, process, display, and operate that content for the purpose of providing the service.

11. Data Protection

For personal information that PageApprove processes on your behalf as part of project reviews, PageApprove generally acts as a service provider or processor, and you generally act as the customer, controller, or responsible party. For information used to manage accounts, billing, security, support, and product operations, PageApprove may act as an independent controller or responsible party.

If you need a Data Processing Addendum for GDPR, UK GDPR, POPIA, or similar privacy-law requirements, contact help@pageapprove.com. We may provide a DPA or additional data-transfer terms where appropriate for your account, jurisdiction, and use case.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PageApprove is provided as is and as available. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for disputes between you and your clients.

Our total liability for claims relating to PageApprove is limited to the amount you paid to PageApprove in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $100 if you have not paid for the service.

13. Termination

You may stop using PageApprove at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk for the service or other users, fail to pay required fees, or use PageApprove unlawfully.

After termination, we may delete or retain data as described in our Privacy Policy and as required for legal, security, billing, or operational purposes.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, unless mandatory consumer protection, privacy, or other laws in your country require a different result. Courts in South Africa will have non-exclusive jurisdiction, meaning either party may still rely on mandatory rights available in another competent jurisdiction where applicable.

If a provision of these terms is unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
